Life at Tiqets
What you will do
As a Financial Controller at Tiqets, reporting directly to our Manager of Finance, you will join our team on a 7-month interim basis (maternity leave). You will play a central role in maintaining financial operational excellence while scaling our internal systems. You will own the full financial closing cycle, drive process automation, manage daily working capital (AP/AR and cash flow forecasting), and lead statutory reporting and audit coordination. Combining strong analytical rigor with a proactive mindset, you will act as a key contact for finance tooling and internal controls across the business.
Responsibilities
Preparation of the financial statements
Responsible for monthly closings and accurate reporting
Monthly review and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations
Creating weekly cash flow prognoses
Manage AP and AR on a daily basis
Optimise internal controls and maintain the internal control framework
Draft various reports for internal and external stakeholders
Further automation of the finance processes
Jira & Confluence maintenance
Be a point of contact for the Finance processes and systems of the business
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; RA qualification (or equivalent qualification path) is preferred.
5+ years of experience in financial control, audit, or core accounting—ideally within an international or high-growth tech environment.
Practical mindset with a passion for process automation, system efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Fluency in English with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a dynamic setting.
Based in the Netherlands with valid local work authorization.
