The Localization Team makes culture more accessible through language. We give Tiqets users the opportunity to use Tiqets in their own language, improving their ticketing experience by offering up-to-date content of the whole catalogue and platforms. With 17 languages and counting, our mission is to increase Tiqets’ performance and the users’ experience in all locales by post editing machine translation and performing Search Engine Optimizations for pages with high potential. Furthermore, we assist each Tiqets business pillar with state-of-the-art machine translations technologies and high-quality support for all departments in their localization and translation needs.
As a Localization Specialist at Tiqets, you will be responsible for the quality and performance of the Italian language at Tiqets.
Responsibilities
Conduct localization/proofreading in Italian for all Tiqets platforms and their components (this includes product copies, website copy, marketing copy and others), as well as for documents requested by other departments (this includes presentations, newsletters, ads, etc.)
Take ownership of the quality of all external-facing copy in your language
Take ownership and maintain the Italian Style Guide and Glossary
Conduct Search Engine Optimizations in Italian and track their performance overtime
Assist other teams with your localization knowledge to provide good user experience and achieve certain task throughout the customer’s journey
Support and provide input for Localization Project Coordinators when setting up translation processes, using CAT Tools, and drafting localization guidelines
Track the performance of the Italian language and propose initiatives to improve the performance of the language
Participate and help in team-wide projects
Interpret data and apply learnings to day-to-day work
Requirements
Available part-time, 3 days a week
Living in the Netherlands
We pursue the hybrid model, however you would need to come to the Amsterdam office once a week. We believe personal interactions help cultivate our (work) culture and stimulate creativity
Education and/or experience in the localization field and translation English into Italian
Proficient in Italian with advanced writing and editing skills in Italian, and a keen eye for detail
Ability to localize creative copy and diverse content types (e.g. UX copy, marketing content, listings)
Solid time-management skills to be able to meet deadlines
Basic SEO knowledge and its application to localization, keyword research and results tracking is a plus
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
