As a Localization Intern, you will learn everything about localization project management at Tiqets, while supporting the team in daily tasks and projects.
You will coordinate localization requests between internal stakeholders, in-house Localization Specialists (linguists) and external localization vendor
You will learn to carry out Localization Checks to ensure the content in the source language (English) is localizable and linguists have all the necessary context they need
You will coordinate tasks assigned to an external translation vendor, ensuring relevant instructions are shared with them, answer questions to facilitate project deliveries, as well as making sure the right file formats are sent over for translations and import translations in our internal systems
You will interact daily with Localization Specialists regarding assignments, due dates, etc. to ensure projects are being completed in a timely manner
You will analyze relevant data to select what content should be localized/optimized and coordinate their localization/optimization with Localization Specialists and our external localization vendor
You will work with our translation and content management systems, while learning about machine translation technologies
You will assist the Localization team members in their various projects
Requirements
Living in or close to Amsterdam (and are able to come to our Amsterdam office minimum 3 days a week)
This internship is available with a start date of April 1st 2025
Available for a period of 6 months, full time (40 hours, 5 days a week)
Currently enrolled in a course of study and will remain so for the duration of the internship! If you graduated already, we cannot proceed
Study related to localisation, translation or languages
Fluency in English
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, other teams and external vendor
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detail to spot errors or issues in source text (English) and translations, with a strong focus on quality
Ability to work in a team, learn quickly and adapt to as fast changing environment
Experience with CAT tools is a plus
