What you will do
Tiqets is looking for an SEO Specialist to join our Consumer Traffic department in Amsterdam.
An SEO Specialist at Tiqets is responsible to test, improve & report on the SEO strategy and performance from both content and technical perspective.
You will be responsible for developing strategies and tactics to scale our SEO efforts, identifying and acting on opportunities that contribute to the team's success. The various objectives are to drive organic traffic growth by attracting customers through the power of search engine optimization (SEO) for our various landing pages selling tickets to museums and attractions around the world through content and by enhancing our website's technical infrastructure to improve search engine visibility and user experience. You will be involved in building a consistent content strategy, while collaborating with the content production, merchandising, marketing, and product teams.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough research & provide input to maximise returns for Tiqets through content & technical SEO improvements
Work cross-functionally with our Product, Marketing, and Content Production teams to coordinate and drive improvements through content & technical SEO initiatives
Build and own the SEO content strategy for Tiqets across web, app and blog, conduct content audits to identify gaps, opportunities for improvement, and content consolidation or pruning
Own and manage the Tiqets blog content & monetisation strategy, the CMS tool, content briefs & calendars while working closely with the Content Production team to implement the strategy
Collaborate with the Content Production team and the Design team to create SEO-friendly content that engages users and ranks well by enhancing content structure and readability
Test and establish guidelines for the different on-page SEO content sections like meta content, FAQs, long form content. Identifying opportunities & defining what to write with organic growth / SEO being the main goal
Own and drive technical SEO improvements by conducting regular technical audits for site performance, speed optimization, mobile friendliness, indexability, and, maintaining the sitemaps etc
Drive strategy & implementation on key technical SEO topics like structured markup data to enhance search results with rich snippets, and other initiatives like canonicalization & interlinking
Analyse & report on key performance metrics for the different SEO content & technical improvement initiatives like rankings & page performance using various analytics tools
Requirements
Fluent English, both written and spoken
3+ years of SEO, content marketing, or similar experience
Experience with SEO execution, tools, and reporting
Detail-oriented and passionate about quality; typos are your natural enemy
Strong project manager who can work cross-functionally
Proficiency with WordPress, CMS tools, and Google Docs preferred
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. You live and breathe great content and can translate editorial briefs into sparkling and attractive copy
Strong data analysis skills, able to use tools to make informed decisions about tasks
Available 5 days per week, living in or around Amsterdam preferably

The Consumer Traffic department at Tiqets is a team focussing on growing the B2C business by enhancing online visibility and traffic. The team specialise in various aspects of digital marketing, including paid advertising on search engines, social media, and other travel platforms, as well as driving free & organic traffic through SEO on search engines and other initiatives. The team’s full stack approach involves developing and executing comprehensive strategies to increase Tiqets' online visibility across channels, attracting both paid and organic traffic. We stay updated on the evolving digital landscape, set objectives, manage resources, and promote an innovative team culture. The primary responsibilities include managing the various marketing channels, data analysis, tracking KPIs, conducting A/B tests, and offering data-driven recommendations to measure the effectiveness of our digital marketing efforts.
